The Tales of Beedle The Bard (J.K Rowling)

It’s related to the famous series of Harry Potter (A worldwide phenomenon). The fictional book mentioned in the last book of Harry Potter (the book left behind for Hermione in the will by Prof.Dumbledore).
A series of interesting short stories, enriching this wizarding world even more.

It includes comments given by our dear X-Headmaster of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizadry himself … Prof. Albus Dumbledore.

This book contains five interesting stories including the “The Tale of the Three Brothers” which is known to all who have read “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” or have seen the movie “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1”.

The third story of the book “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart” was the most interesting one for me. It hit me with a surprise in the end.

It’s a treat for all ages. Perfect bedtime stories for the tiny tots.

When you’ll get a short span to relax … Go through it ;)

"EVERYTIME WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG ... WHY IS IT ALWAYS YOU THREE ...?"

HaRRy PoTTeR ... We'll miss you

I was in the 5th grade when, I saw the flashing poster of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone” by the highway. Little did I know that it was going to in-print deeply in my heart for the rest of my life.

Yeah … !!! My Dad gifted me its 1st CD few months after it released and my collection began.

All the movies were just great. The casts , the stars , everyone had played their roles phenomenally . The story got even more interesting , with every step ahead.

I watched “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” few months back … It was above my expectation. Tomorrow this story reaches its conclusion when the second part cracks the cinema halls.

The finale is here after all …! It will be missed in the years to come; but I know it’s going to script itself in the minds of all the HARRY POTTER fans all around the world.

The people who made this possible - all of them will be remembered forever …

“I’ll MISS HARRY , RON and HERMIONE”

GOD BLESS THEM ALL

LAST FRIDAY NIGHT / T.G.I.F (KATY PERRY)

The girl who ignited FIREWORKS in everyone’s heart is back again with a bang.

Katy Perry goes in for an official music video that elaborates a small story like stuff. Katy plays the role of Kathy Beth Terry, an eighth grade student who loves Sudoku and is, what we say – “NERD”.

Kathy wakes in amazement one Saturday morning & then a flashback -
A party next door delays her Sudoku puzzle and she ends up in the middle of PARTY FREAKERS. Being the “NOT SO COOL” of the lot she finds herself unhappy. Her dear friend Rebecca makeovers her into a “REAL PARTY  DIVA”. To think she rocks the party even more.

A slight romantic / flirt / fight emotions peeps out … Great work by Kevin Mchale playing Everett McDonald.

The fun fact is – instead of getting Sc/@#ed by her parents , she finds out that they were party wild at their young age.

Lots of fun … Great music … awesome cast … starring REBECCA BLACK as herself and KENNY G as Uncle Kenny.

Best line for me “DO IT ALL AGAIN

Check out the video -

Millicent Min , Girl Genius (Written by Lisa Yee)

Within this race of extremely commendable English authors , Chinese authors have marked themselves quite well. That too, with an excellent entertaining touch in English Literature.

Lisa Yee is one of them. To mention Millicent Min is her debut.

A book meant for every teenagers in town.  Especially for the school-goers.

Millicent Min is a school girl aka “An Einstein”. Well that’s why she is considered a geek and, as usual “AVOIDED”. That turns her summer real bad  , when her fellow friends hate her for curving herself into high school. Her grandma (best friend) Maddie is moving out as well.

Her mother signs her in Volleyball classes, possibly to help her attain , what she calls –“HER NORMAL CHILDHOOD”.  VB classes bumps her into Emily , who knows NIL about her IQ score.

And there’s Stanford Wong (a dork *her crush* … well she is assigned to be his tutor).

This book showers out the assignments of showing – “I’M NOT GENIUS” so that Millicent actually makes her first friend. FULL ON comedy , crush-able romance, awesome jeopardy and a SURPRISE in the end …

The Synopsis at the back of the book reveals that it has been appreciated by *KIRKUS REVIEWS* , *PAULA DANZIGER* and *HORN BOOK*

Its entertaining and A MUST READ

My Experience at the Kovalam beaches

Kovalam beaches - heaven indeed

Sea beaches , sand and coconut trees – the best attributes you can get for a calm and cold environment.

I visited my best beach at the age of 10 – The Kovalams or better known as 4-beaches. Yes, Kovalam is famous for its four outstanding beaches one beside the other.

Enjoying the bite on a juicy pineapple I just strolled out in the open sand. Endless sea indeed – only two huge rocks blocked its infinity on the sides. The sun blazed high. I wetted my feet in the cold blue and felt it sipping in the sand. . Something tickled – I looked down to see strange white creatures … not crabs but bugs – smoothly slipping down my feet and disappearing in the sand.

Dad started capturing the moments in the camera while Mom just enjoyed the shade of our rented standing umbrella.

Kids are best when they are up to no good :P ……. Well I was not a bad kid myself. Still remember those funny moments when I threw the wet sand balls at my Dad and saw him throw them back at me… that was fun indeed.

Before we enjoyed the shrimps for lunch , Dad and I went swimming – Mom decided to stay dry. Huge waves (bigger than the ones I saw at Puri) really made it difficult for me to paddle. I just held on to Dad’s hand and enjoyed the splashes. Really cool !!!

But an incident still pinches at the corner of my mind  – A giant wave crashed on me and I almost drowned … All I remember is me searching for air within the glittering water … I was closing my eyes gradually when I saw a hand heading towards me … Holding on to it is the reason why I am still here documenting it to you. My dad pulled me up from the clutches of the nightmare. I soon panted off my pain – I don’t take much time to recover … The best part – I ain’t Hydrophobic :)

After lunch we went on trekking. Well !!! not a mountain but a hill … A forest of Coconuts … Amazing !!! Reaching its peak is the best way you can see the four sandy(s) … the entire Kovalam …… Picturesque !!!

Before leaving - parents thought of sipping in a little coffee. They were enjoying their drink when it started to drizzle (rain). The soft splashes along with the cold wind could not hold me back in the shade. I just ran till I felt the soft touch of the waves wetting my feet. The scenario still peeps in my mind … A never ending brine forming millions of ripples with the soft shower – The setting sun painting its rays on me while a grey cloudy sky bordered its (Sun) edge. The darkness drew in fainting away the light to welcome the approaching evening.
